...as one of Putnam County's fiscal conservatives while serving on the Board of County Commissioners. Committed against property tax increases, Eubanks worked with others to successfully reduce county spending by more than 28.4 percent - a $20.4 million reduction in revenues collected.  This year’s operating budget is $14 million less than 2006 revenues.  Kenny has the right combination of leadership, experience, common sense, and dedication to help guide our County through the challenges ahead.

 

 

 

 

 

This Is Not the Time For On-The-Job Training

 

I was born and raised in Putnam County.  My wife Susan and I are blessed to have the opportunity to live and work in the community we love so much.  Like so many of you, we love and care about Putnam County, and we work hard to make a difference.

 

It has been my honor and privilege to serve you as Putnam County Commissioner since winning the election in November of 2008. I am now asking you, the voters, to re-elect me for my second term. 

 

· This is a serious responsibility as we move forward and out of these tough economic times.  We must continue to work harder and smarter in order to maximize the benefits of the investments we make. 

 

· Since jobs are the result of a good economy, the economic downturn has created a jobs crisis.   Government does not create jobs, people do.  We need to make sure we do not prevent job creators from creating jobs. 

 

· We must continue to lay the foundation that will pave the way for economic development, and prepare us to take advantage of future economic recovery.  

 

· We have implemented an economic development package, and we must be ready to react quickly to maintain and/or create jobs whenever possible.

 

This is not the time for commissioners who need on-the-job training! I believe I have the right combination of leadership, experience, common sense, and dedication to help guide our County through the challenges ahead.
